Time Limits & Inactivity
How much time do I have to complete all three phases?
All three evaluation phases must be completed within 30 days total. There is no individual time limit per phase — the 30 days are shared across phases 1, 2, and 3.
Plan your trading accordingly to ensure you have enough time to hit each phase's profit target before the window closes.
What is the inactivity rule?
If you do not place at least one trade within any 10 consecutive calendar days, your account will be automatically breached.
This rule applies to all phases including the funded account. Make sure to stay active throughout your evaluation and funded trading.
Trading Rules — Evaluation Phases
Is news trading allowed during the evaluation?
Yes — news trading is permitted during all three evaluation phases (phases 1, 2, and 3). You may hold positions through high-impact news events without restriction.
Note: this changes once you reach the funded account. See the funded account section below
Can I hold trades over the weekend?
Yes — weekend holding is allowed across all evaluation phases and on the funded account. You are not required to close positions before the weekend.
Are Expert Advisors (EAs), algorithms, and copy trading allowed?
During evaluation (phases 1–3): EAs, algorithms, and copy trading are all permitted. Copy trading is allowed for the same user across their own accounts.
On the funded account: EAs are not allowed. See prohibited strategies in the integrity policy section below.
Funded Account
What rules apply once I'm funded?
Once you pass all three phases, you will need to complete KYC and Sign Contract and then you will be offered a Funded Account with simulated capital allocation. The following rules apply on your funded account:
Max loss: 10% (Static)
Daily loss: 5% (Previous Day Balance)
Max risk per symbol: 2.5%
Position limits: max 2 open trades per symbol per direction
Inactivity limit: 10 days
Weekend holding: allowed
News trading: NOT allowed (see below)
EAs / Algos: not allowed
Time limit: None
Why is news trading not allowed on the funded account?
On the funded account, you must close all open positions at least 2 minutes before any red folder news event, and may not open new positions until at least 2 minutes after the event has passed.
This policy protects both the trader and the firm from extreme volatility and erratic price action during high-impact releases. Red folder events can be identified on an economic calendar such as Forex Factory.
What is the profit split and when do I get paid?
Profit split: 80% to the trader, 20% to Fortunes Funding
First payout: 21 days after your funded account is activated
Subsequent payouts: bi-weekly
